GCSEs 2020 and Post-16 plans
GCSE Results Day – Thursday 20th August 2020
Results were emailed to Year 10 and 11 students directly to their school Outlook account. It is not possible to make the results available to parents or carers, as it is imperative that the examination results are shared with the candidates before anyone else. No results will be given out by telephone under any circumstances.
Students can be reminded how to access their student email account here Link

What happens if you are unhappy with the grades you receive?
Ofqual completed an extensive survey regarding the appeals process for the summer 2020 series. With no examinations to review or remark the usual process is not possible. They have confirmed right of appeal for the following:
- If a student has evidence of bias or discrimination, they would be able to raise this with their centre; an exam board could investigate such evidence as indicating malpractice.
- Centres must have a procedure which allows students to request that a review is conducted of the centre’s decision not to appeal to an exam board.
- Appeals should be allowed where a centre believes it has made an error when submitting its information; or similarly, if the centre believes an exam board made a mistake when calculating, assigning or communicating a grade.

Certificate Presentation
Regardless of the fact that students did not sit their very final exams, we know how hard they have worked throughout their time at school. They should be rightly proud of their efforts and to acknowledge this we are looking at organising a certificate presentation event for the students in the autumn term, which we will be planning in accordance with the social distancing measures in place at the time. Arrangements will be posted in due course.
