Settling In At Secondary School
As a school, we feel it is essential that we build upon the excellent education that your child has received in their primary school. As a result, we have worked closely with their primary school to get to know your child so that the transfer to King James’s can be as smooth as possible.
Secondary school life is more complicated than in a primary school. Your child will probably have a different teacher for every subject and be changing rooms every lesson. Consequently, they may need practical support in getting settled. They may also need help in being organised, managing to have the correct equipment for lessons, understanding the timetable and fitting in homework.
Uniform
All King James’s School uniform including PE kit is available from Term Time Wear and Natasha’s in
Huddersfield. However, please note that their trousers, skirts and shoes may not comply with our strict
uniform policy so please check below.
