King James's School has more than 400 years of history and tradition.
Whilst we endeavour to be a forward-looking school, embracing current educational-thinking, our history and traditions are important to us.
As a community we spent some time reflecting upon what makes King James’s special, starting from our traditional roots. Dialogue with all stakeholders led to the creation of a set of foundational principles, which provide meaning, clarity and shared understanding of the school’s history, ethos and culture.
