Students in school during lockdown
This page is designed to help parents and carers who have children attending school during the Spring Term 2021 lockdown. As a school we are following the guidance published by the Department for Education.

Year 7 students at Fernside site
Students will follow their usual timetable but will complete work online in the following classrooms:
- Room G5 - full time students
- Room G16 - full time students
- Library - part time students
Year 8 - 11 students at St Helens Gate site
Students will follow their usual timetable but will complete work online in the following classrooms:
- Room 26 and 27 - Year 8 students
- ILC - Year 9 students
- Room 30 - Year 10 students
- Room 10 - Year 11 students
Equipment needed
- Headphones to access remote lessons
- Pencil case with stationary
PE kit will be needed:
- Year 7: Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
- Year 8: Monday / Thursday
- Year 9: Monday / Tuesday
- Year 10: Wednesday / Thursday
- Year 11: Monday / Wednesday
School buses
From Monday 18th January the K80 and K87 will be suspended with all other services remaining.
Students who usually use the K80 are advised to travel on the K81 or K79.
Students who usually use the K87 are advised to use the K81 or K86.
Passes will be accepted on any bus.
Service K81 in a morning will operate to the school bus bay from Monday and will not drop students at Almondbury village as it does currently.
Services to Fernside will continue unaltered.
What to do if your child will not be in school
Please ring the school attendance line if your child has been booked to attend school but is not able to come in.
